It's an amazing place and no matter if you know the size of a famous painting in your mind, it's another thing to actually see it. (Like the Mona Lisa, for example.) I think that sometimes when I meet people in person that I only met online. You recognize their face but to see how tall or short they are can be a surprise!Wendy Toliverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14642277380582169548noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38838926.post-81612874863145668482010-05-26T07:18:06.658-07:002010-05-26T07:18:06.658-07:00Meredith - Italy! I've even sung a song about him before and about the painting called Vincent. I haven't seen the real painting yet, but I've seen--and made--copies of it. In Grade four I had to paint my favourite painting...so I did that one.Laurenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08227199724741215693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38838926.post-55872656707773639202010-05-25T17:41:09.364-07:002010-05-25T17:41:09.364-07:00There definitely is something so powerful about se...There definitely is something so powerful about seeing a work of art in person--close enough to see the brushstrokes, even. My favorite part of getting to travel to Italy was seeing all the art I had only seen in textbooks before. Botticelli's a favorite :)Meredithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00462382909938737612noreply@blogger.com
