Book Giveaway!

Yes! It's PROMO WEEK at Teen Fiction Cafe, and I'm so excited to be giving away the adorable NOW AND ZEN by the fabulous Linda Gerber. Gerb and I met up in Utah when she was doing research for THE FINNISH LINE. I'd already bought a copy of NOW AND ZEN, but she brought me an autographed copy as a surprise and told me to give one away to a deserving individual. So ... are YOU that deserving individual? Leave a comment and tell me why you think you should win it. Good luck!

Also, be sure to check out Linda Gerber's latest must-read, DEATH BY BIKINI, in stores May 15.

I think everyone deserves to win it, but I think I do too...thats because I actually live in Japan, and I know this book is about a Japanese girl, and I think it would be neat and interesting to see how Linda Gerber describes Japan...or how other people see it.

Thanks Lauren and Rachel for entering! I also should add that when I posted this contest, I was thinking along the lines of these dorky commercials for a local fast food restaurant where the person says something like "I put my dirty clothes in the hamper so I deserve a steaming hot hamburger and cold shake." In other words, you don't have to be completely serious in describing why you deserve the book. :) Also, I'm going to let my 8 year-old son choose the winner this weekend, so you can always say something to draw his attention. Good luck!

Oh my gosh. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the S.A.S.S. series! It's one of my all time favorites! I still have yet to actually buy any of the books (I am always out of money before I can get to the bookstore.) I soooo want to win this one!!

I always used to use those airmail envelopes when I was in Spain for junior year of college, which is why I'm CONSTANTLY attracted to the covers of these books, and also maybe why I should win?

But then I'd probably just read and pay it forward with another contest to win it again... so there'd be a few winners.

In any case, this book is on my to-read list!

Yup, that's me with the deleted post just above this one--some typos just can't be forgiven! What I meant to say was-- Yay to Ms. Gerber! And congrats on your new release--can't wait!
Whew, that wasn't so hard, no was it??

I hate to bite off more than I can chew, so... are we allowed to enter all ongoing contests in this blog? I already entered Alyson's :) But if we're allowed to enter both, I'd like to enter this one as well!

I have the same question as Reviewer X actually.

So if I can enter this contest as well I'd say that I'm deserving because well I love to read and this book sounds great.

Not nearly a good enough reason as most everyone else has posted but still a reason.

Wendy, this is a truly lame reason, but I think I should win it because the cover appears to be drawn by the same artist, Yuko, who does my covers. I hope this answer rates with your 8 year-old!

I regret not getting into the foreign exchnge program in high school. The only way I can travel to far off places is though books at this point of my life and this looks like a fun book to get lost in :)

I would love to win because I am about to start college and am contemplating studying abroad. How cool would it be to study in Japan! I am so curious to find out how she finds her Zen.

YES! You can totally enter (and win) any author's contests here at the Teen Fiction Cafe. So never be shy to enter, and enter every one of ours. :)

Also, here's a fun update. I had sushi with none other than Linda Gerber TODAY! She's so adorable and generous (she bought mine for me) and I had such a great time catching up with her and hearing all about her exciting news. I have a feeling we'll be seeing this author on the bookshelves for quite awhile, TFC readers!

I had to enter - I don't deserve this book more than anyone else who has posted - BUT I am actually an adult who loves to read young adult fiction and I have worked my way through this whole series to date - and the pressure is on - because I pick the young adult books and then my daughter reads them right behind me - and boy do I hear about it if I made a wrong choice!!!! but, I have never erred when I choose a book in this series - so please help me keep my reputation as a "cool mom" :)
