Win a zombie survival kit and a copy of my latest book

So it's promo week here at Teen Fiction Cafe and partly to celebrate the recent release of my young adult book Zombie Queen of Newbury High and partly to make up for the fact that I've been such a slacker and have missed my last scheduled posts here at the cafe, I've decided to put a copy of my new book up for grabs.

But wait, there's more. As well as the book you can also win an essential (and totally cute) Zombie Survival Kit which guarantees to give you everything you will ever need in the upcoming zombie apocalypse - okay, so if I figure on the slim chance it doesn't work, you'll already be eaten and can't come and get mad at me and besides, I will work, it will, it will!!!!

So what's my new book about you ask?

Well to put simply, it's the story of what happens when seventeen year old Mia Everett tries to stop her prom date from dumping her and instead (accidentally) turns her entire senior year (including teachers) into flesh-chomping zombies and then has to work with zombie hunter hottie, Chase Miller in order to find a cure before Mia ends up as first course on their new meat-only diet.

So anyway, what do you have to do to win this amazing (and totally cute) prize? Well, for a start you need to go to go and buy my book and tell me what color blouse Mia is wearing on page 54. And then you need to...okay, I joke, I joke.

All you really need to do is leave a comment on this post and tell me why you want to read my book and get your hands on the Zombie Survival Kit (and extra points for anyone who manages to combine David Boreanaz into their answer!). Go on, I dare you!!!

And don't forget to come back on Saturday when I'll draw a winner!

Um...I don't really know who David Boreanaz is. I'm guessing he's someone famous...>.> I blame how I read to much and never really watch TV besides the news. But I ah...really want to read Zombie Queen of Newbury High. It's at the top of my wishlist. I can't find it at my library. It's on order right now, but that will probably take several months for it to come... And I already spent all of the money that I've been saving up since August for the big field trip to Islands of Adventure this year, so I'm broke and unable to buy the book. I heard that the book is really good from reviewers, and I love the cover, which makes me want to read it really badly. I want my hands on the zombie kit, since..well..I don't really know anything about zombiesm besides the fact that they eat brains, which really doesn't help... I'm not really into horror since it freaks me out, no matter how not scary it is, and if I ever do encounter a zombie, I don't think I'll know how to survive.

I’m really into Zombies. I have been since I'm a kid so when I seen this book I squeaked! No, literally. I squeaked. =D

So I would LOVE to read this book and call it my own and the Zombie Survival Kit would be an awesome addition to probably the best zombie book ever! (that was totally not a kiss butt moment. I really do mean that! I've heard some awesome stuff about this book!!!!)

Now, I think you should totally write another book and base the main guy characters looks on David Boreanaz! =D!!! Or did you do that already in this book!? *gasps*! Oh man. Now even more than ever I want this book!!

Good luck with everything and this is really an awesome contest.

Happy Writing!!!
Cheryl

P.S.--I have this on my 2009--100+ Reading Challenge List

I want to win and read your book, because David Boreanaz told me that it was awesome, and that I should write a review for it on my blog! :)

I need the zombie survival kit for when I'm at school facing all those other zombie college students!

Why do I want to read this book? Better question...why wouldn't I want to read this book? It sounds amazing, and if it helps me prepare myself for the (clearly inevitable) zombie apocalypse then I am so in. Plus, I know that anyone who loves David Boreanaz must have written a pretty awesome zombie hunting hottie, so I am so there.

My first reason for wanting to read this book is because well, I haven't really read that many books on zombies, not to mention never read a YA book on zombies. And two, I have seen many upon many awesome reviews from everyone! And I know somewhere out there David Boreanaz is curled up reading this book. Okay, lame, but I tried!

If I win the copy of your new book, I will read it. If it's good, I will personally tell my 150 junior high school students they should all go out and buy copies of it. I will also tell the school librarian to buy and promote the book. Plus, I will tell all the other English teachers how good it is and convince them to promote it.That's a good deal of free advertising.
On the other hand, if it's not good, I'm not going to promote it very much.
I read A LOT of YA fiction, and I can assure you that paranormal/slightly creepy is in with the junior high set. Zombies may be promising material here.

Good luck to all the people entering!

Don't enter me since I already have both :)

Guys, the Survival Kit is so cute!! The only thing it needs is a David Boreanaz poster...lol.

It wouldn't help in a zombie apocalypse, but I assure you it's essential to life!

I love the idea of a zombie survival kit...especially after having taught high school. There are no zombies like teenagers. :)

I have already read Zombie Queen and you know I loved it! and I have been stalking you all over the internet trying to win your fabulous survival kit, and learn everything i can about you. And today I passed along my copy of Zombie Queen to my very best friend so she can read it. You know how I know she will love it. She is the person who got me started watching Buffy and Angel and when I sent you the link of David Boreanaz dancing on Rachael Ray I also sent it to her.
(HA! see how I got David in there!)

Okay, it's kind of incredibly funny that you'd mention David Boreanaz, seeing as I'm sitting watching Angel right now. (After a very dangerous introduction to Buffy (for the first time!), in which I literally got, like, 5 hours of sleep the whole week in order to finish all seven seasons.) Not addicted or anything. And it was totally weird, because I had NO IDEA he was in Buffy. I'd seen countless episodes of Bones, and was awed by how hunky he was all vampified.

ANYWAY. I really, really, really need this zombie kit. And book. Aside from waving it in my brother's face (we've had countless detailed discussions about who would fend better in the impending zombie apocalypse), I'd cherish it. Build a shrine to the kit and protect it in my safe. Fire-proof! The kit would really help my survival chances. And I need to survive, because, HELLO, I'm not done watching Angel yet.

Whew. I'm an avid reader, too, and I've had your book at the tippytop of my wish list for quite some time - I've seen it featured on a lot of other book blogs, and I'm in total booklust for it.

Help a chick out! :)

I would love to win this! I have been wanting a copy of your book for a looong time. I loved your first book, too. I also have been enjoying the more paranormal type books lately.

But, I bet if you could you would rather give this prize to David Boreanaz! And then hopefully he would fall in love with the writing and fabulousness and fall at your feet!

Loved David as Angel now I'm currently watching him in Bones. Would like to be included in the draw!

I want to win because David told me about this contest.

I have the book (sources say I may have had it before David did), but I just wanted to weigh in and say whoever wins it is really lucky! It's fabulous!

(This is a fun contest so I'm entering even though I'm probably not eligible to enter as I live all the way over in Europe, but I'm bored and delusional)

Why would one want to read your book and get a zombie survival kit? Hmm, I wonder. There is a simple answer: Zombies. Zombies are very interesting creatures, plus there is a really hot zombie hunter hottie named Chase Miller who we all can pretend looks like David Boreanaz, because we all know that he would make an excellent zombie hunter hottie when he can be sulky soulful vampire and a goofy FBI agent with a belt buckle that says "cocky" as well as doing a very odd satan(and still be awesome).

Having only recently encountered TFC, I am jumping in head first!

I am continuously craving bookshelf additions (especially of the urban fantasy variety) and would love to read your book.

(Especially if the Chase character can be imagined to look like the Angel of season 1 Buffy. Remember those white v-neck t-shirts and the slightly tousled hair? Mmmm...)

I totally want to win this because as the mother of 4 boys (2 of them teens) I need all the help I can get. That and I think I would love the book and I think my older two would love it. Also, I'll totally promote it with the local librarians.

I really need a zombie survival kit. There are two huge cemeteries down the block from my house so if there was a zombie uprising, I'd have quite a battle to fight!

Wow - you guys are giving the BEST ansers ever and I'm totally impressed at the crafty way so many of you have snuck DB into your answers. I love it and please keep them coming!!!

International contest?
If so then I am in.

I want to win this copy cos spring is coming, and we all know when the snow melts then those nasty zombies come running. It's always the same thing every year, but this year I could have a chance with a nice little zombie kit.

Too bad though cos I usually just contact David on his Angel phone, and he helps me deal but I woman have to do soemthing for herself once in a while too ;)

Oh I can't wait to read your book! I've heard the best reviews on all of the blogs and it sounds great! (I should probably find out for myself though.) The zombie survival kit is a very cool bonus. I really don't want to be an undead. There are some days I feel that way already but I don't need it 24/7. Besides, zombies can't read and there are far too many books out there waiting to be read. Like this one! I also have three teenage boys and I've become very suspicious of their zombie-ish behavior at times. Hey...better safe than sorry.

By the way, I heard that the gorgeous David Boreanaz is planning the buy the movie rights to your book and star in it. Isn't that amazing that I heard that before you did? I also heard that he's calling you personally. :) :)

Lies! There is no mention of Mia's blouse! I scanned page 54 four times!

Haha, well I want my own zombie kit cause how can you let your fan die like that when she's gonna become dinner for the undead?

I had a really good comment, but blogger erased it! Anyways, so I want to read your book because it sounds fun and like I would laugh a lot, it has a hottie in it which means there might be some romance, which I love, and it has zombies so it's automatically cool! Plus, once I read it I would write a fabulous review which I would then send on to David Boreanaz who in all his Angel hotness (yes, he's hot on Bones, but he's still Angel to me!) would be so awed and impressed by your book he would realize that Amanda Ashby is the love of his life and he would come find you and you would run away together. See, I'm not only a book reviewer, but I'm also a matchmaker!:)

I was planning to go to LA and ask Angel for help, but my mum refused to pay for my flight ticket and told me that Angel is played by an actor named David Boreanaz. Which isn't true right? I think she's kidding to hide the existence of zombies so that I won't grow up to be a zombie hunter. -.-

Way to shelter your kid, mum!

I want to read your book as frankly, it's a must have for an aspiring zombie hunter. With the kit, I get to practice my slaying technique so I won't endanger myself or anyone I bring with me when hunting zombies. Also, since most probably I won't be a zombie hunter, I'd know how to turn zombies back into people and stop the problem once and for all!

If Mia's wearing a blouse on page 54, it's probabaly blue! Why?

*defensive look* I like blue.

Just kidding.

I need a Zombie Survival Kit because I have a Paper Dinosaur Zombie roasting me live on TV all this week in my dreams (he looks like a Dino-Emeril and talks like Alton Brown), so I'm sure that Kit would have something I can use against the Paper Zombie Dinosaur XD

I would like to read your book because zombies in HS are probably the best idea. I mean think about it--most of us were either so tired when we came to school we looked like zombies or by the end of the day so terrified by what we had to remember we could only walk around in a daze moaning and groaning.

Why I'm interested in your book? Hmmm. It may have something to do with: "zombie hunter hottie, Chase Miller". Yes, I'm pretty sure that's it. Speaking of hotties, David Boreanaz will always make the cut...

Why do I want to read Zombie Queen of Newbury High? Because it sounds way totally fun and awesome. And my library doesn't have it and I don't think my bookstores do either. Also, I don't think I've ever read a zombie book, and why not start with one that looks completely entertaining?

And since zombies might possibly invade this planet (hey, what with science and the environment being what they are, never say never)...who DOESN'T need a zombie survival kick? (Plus, my younger brother would probably love it.) (Is David Boreanaz a zombie? The person who created zombies?)

hi! I really like to win your new book, zombie queen of Newbury High. It sounds soo good, and I've heard a lot of great things about it! (Then after I read the book, I would probably be so freaked out about zombies, that I would need the survival kit to feel safe!)haha

Then I must say that David Boreanaz Is hot! But you called dibs on him first, so if I ever meet him I just pass him along to you, ok?

(I'm generous, aren't I?)

take care!

I actually read the book. I got it the day it came out because I read Alyson Noels comments about it. The book freaking ROCKS! my sister did NOT want to read it, but I told her about all the comments you made about Buffy, Angel and Supernatural and Now she is hooked. We need a sequel soon.

anyhow, I would greatly appreciate a Zombie survival Kit because my husband and I (yes, I'm a married woman and not a teenager) often argue about what we would do if there ever was a Zombie outbreak. If I had a survival kit, then I would win the argument! Alos, it would just be really cool to have.

oh yeah, I teach 9th grade English, and I recommened the book to all of them, however, I'm very picky about who i lend my copy to, so I need another copy.

PS...David Boreanaz is still way hot.
