It's so awesome to be able to read all the blogs I follow at the same time without having to flit from blog to blog. The only downside is that you can't post a comment without going into the actual blog.
Mind you it was a bit daunting when I came back from two weeks vacation and had nearly 200 posts to plough though. To be honest I skimmed most of them.... actually I just scrolled down and only read the posts where the odd word jumped out at me. But that's okay, I don't go away often.
So who else uses Google Reader? And what do you think of it?

I read your blog (and about 500 other book blogs) via Google Reader. I mark anything older than a day as read. If I didn't, I'd be swamped by posts.
I second the Google Reader lovin'. I follow a lot of blogs (tho not as may as pussreboots!)and I love being able to classify, tag and star posts for future reference.
I love Google Reader too! I have you on mine so I'll never miss out! It's so convenient right :)
I love Google Reader. Its so nice to just go to one spot to read all the blogs. I also love being able to star posts for later use!
I use it and mostly love it! I would like more options for organizing it and displaying it (like old app Feedburner which now feels ancient), but it's a great management tool.
I'm also a fan of the reader, but when I go on vacay, and it all piles up, it feels completely overwhelming to sort through!
Love it. Only way to keep up with all these blogging YA writers. The thing I always wonder though is if it only counts as hit on the writer's blog if I actually leave the reader and travel to the site. That must be it right? Guess I'm thinking about my own traffic here a bit.
I Lurve google reader, its sssoooo handy, the only problem is i dont get enough emails from TFC
I'm another google reader fan. My problem is I keep adding more blogs to follow so I do end up skimming a lot just because of sheer numbers. I also wonder, like Jeff, about figuring out blog traffic because I don't think google reader records "hits". I may be wrong though...
I used to use Google Reader a lot, but then I added so many blogs to it that it was impossible to keep up with them all. And with such a long list, I couldn't easily hop to the ones that I wanted to make sure I read. So it's still there with all the Google Friend Connects, but I'm not actually using it to read the blogs. I'm still reading them the old fashioned way with bookmarks. :-)
I don't think it does count as hits because I know of people who regularly read my blog yet there doesn't seem to be any record of it on my stats.
Every now and again I rationalise the blogs I'm reading and will delete the ones where I tend to just skim over them.
I used to use it but got overwhelmed! Plus, I love to comment so I have to go to the blogs directly anyway. I hope it counts in stats, but I have a feeling it doesn't...
