This Post is Cheesy!

I'm departing from the topic of School Days to talk about cheese. Yeah, you got it, cheese.

I did a post on my blog yesterday about toast, one of the most versatile foods there is, but I think cheese may be even more versatile.

(Mice around the world are nodding their heads in agreement.)

Not only is there a gazillion different kinds of cheese, but it goes with everything, and I do mean everything—meat, fruit, bread, wine, veggies, and beans.

Even sugar, (Cheesecake anyone?)

It can be simple, like a grilled cheese sandwich:

Or complicated like a souffle:

Think about it. Can you imagine Mexican food without cheese? Or Italian?

Cheese is a part of our culture. Try to match the slogans to the brand--

Great cheese comes from happy cows. Happy cows come from California.

It's the cheesiest!

Persnickity People, Exceptional Cheese

The Cheese that Goes Crunch!

Okay, that one is dated, but I'd never heard the new slogan, so I'm going with it.

I'll be drawing a winner from all the correct comments and sending them a copy of my book, Read My Lips. Contest is on till the blog changes:)

And remember, the moon is made of cheese!

The first one is from Real California Cheese. The second one is Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. The next one is from Sargento. The last one is Cheetos.

Though I have to say, as someone from WI, I'd rather have Wisconsin cheese than California cheese lol.

Nope - I can't even imagine a life without cheese.

It really does make the meal!

Bring on the cheetos

Ooh, I'd rather have Wisconsin cheese, too, Sarah. We used to buy the best smoked cheese there. The cheese curds from Tillamook in Oregon are also fabulous. French cheese is magnifique and I love Finnish edam and Danish havarti. Japanese cheese was really meh. Yes, I love my cheese!

Wow cool contest, I never hear that slogans so I had to look them up, and here are the hopefully correct answers:
1: Real California Cheese
2:Kraft Macaroni and Cheese
3: Sargento Cheese
4: Cheetos

I am not a big cheese eater, I only eat it on pizza, grilled cheese sandwich (had a delicious one this lunch) mexican and italian food.
best,
Marjoline

This post has made me hungry-I love cheese! I like WI cheese better too. When I was little my Grandpa would bring us Nebraska cheese, I don't know what it was other than my grandparents lived in NE, hence the name-but it was really good! And my college roommate had some cheese curd things from Canada that were waaay yummy!!
As for the slogans-Real California Cheese (and yes I voted for a happy cow!), Kraft Mac and Cheese (which I don't like if it's the powder kind), Sargento-yum!, and Cheetos-yum again.

All I can think of is that line in the movie 'She's the Man.'

"Do you like...cheese?"
"Why yes I do, my favorite's Gouda."
"...I like cheese,too."

Got to love some cheese. Though I was pretty peeved the other day when I bought some blue brie and there was no blue in it. Unfortunately I had to eat it all to discover this!!!!!
