Another great sentence: "While the combined sincerity and extremism of the Hell House production is viscerally shocking, Walker creates an astutely balanced portrait of a conservative congregation's in-your-face response to perennial issues of domestic abuse, teen pregnancy, and suicide, as well as of those who struggle to fit the prescribed Christian mold."
Yay! Hope you guys will check it out this summer.

Melissa - yay - that's such a great review!!!!!!! I'm so loving the sound of Small Town Sinners!!!!
I've just got my very first Kirkus review last week and it was surprisingly nice considering all the things I'd heard (and considering I'd written a book about invisible killer fairies!)
Amanda, you're a tease! All I can find of your review is the beginning (yay for raucous humor!):
"Teens with a taste for the paranormal school story and a tolerance for raucous humor will be involved with and amused by this romantic fantasy."
Congrats, Melissa!!! What a great review and so nice to be noticed by PW. Small Town Sinners sounds sooooo good. I can't want to read it!
Melissa - I know, that's all I found so then I had to (very bravely) ask my editor if she could get it! This is the nicest part of it:
"The exciting plot, humor throughout—often provided by the little fairies—and relatively innocent romance between characters will grab readers and keep them involved."
(and yes, I like raucous humor as well - it's up there with 'tender and provocative')
Anyway, I can't wait to read your book. I was such a fan Lovestruck Summer!
Congrat's on that awesome review, Melissa! I cannot wait to read this. The cover is amazing and the topic so delicious! Best wishes!
